YGC Innovation Festival AI Competition 2026

YGC - AI Competition 2026 is a premier AI Buildathon by Yarl IT Hub, challenging participants to build high-impact, AI-powered solutions using technologies such as language models, computer vision, and predictive analytics. AI must be the core of the solution, solving real-world problems through innovation and technical excellence. Participants can compete individually or in teams of up to four members across two exciting rounds.

Competition Rounds
● Round 1 - Online Build Challenge
Participants will compete online by designing and developing an AI-powered solution based on the official competition theme.

Theme: Please refer to the theme and rules pdf below for the Round 1 theme and carefully review the challenge requirements and submission guidelines.
Submission Deadline: 5th August 2026.
Evaluation: Online

Round 1 Submission
Submit your Round 1 project through the Artifacts section in your Team Dashboard. Select each submission option one by one and upload your Demo/App Link, Short Presentation, and Technical Summary Document. Make sure all required artifacts are submitted successfully before the submission deadline.

● Round 2 - Grand Finale
Teams selected from Round 1 will advance to the final stage of the competition. Finalists will receive a new challenge theme and will have two weeks to design, develop, and refine their AI-powered solution.
The competition concludes with a live product demonstration and a Q&A session before the judging panel at the YGC Innovation Festival 2026.

Development Period: 9th - 20th August 2026
Demo Day: 21st August 2026
Venue: Jaffna Thiruvalluvar Cultural Center (In Person)

How to Apply

1. Read the Competition theme and rules in the pdf below.
2. Sign in/Sign up, accept the Terms & Conditions, and enter your phone number.
3. You will be redirected to your Member Dashboard.
4. Go to Profile → Competition and select YGC Innovation Festival AI Competition 2026.
5. Click Create a Team, enter your Team Name, and create your team.
6. Invite all your teammates to join.
7. Click Edit under Application Overview and complete all required information.
8. Review your application to ensure all details are correct and all team members have been invited.
9. Click Submit. Note: After submission, you cannot edit or make any changes.
